This is a vintage silver cornet made by C.G. Conn of Elkhart, IN. It is in the original velvet lined case and includes additional mouthpieces, an additional slide, a mute, a music stand, and a cleaning rod. There are intricate etchings on the bell and mouthpiece. It is accompanied by a letter from the Conn Corporation dated in 1963, in which the company was responding to the instrument owner's inquiry about museum display. The latches on the instrument case are in working order, but the handle is broken.
